Burning plastic smell

Hey all!
I have noticed the past few days that when I'm driving my car it starts to get like a burning plastic smell. Its definitely from the front of the car. It's not super strong but I have a 2016 Chevy crude limited. I haven't quite reached 2,000 miles. Did anyone or has anyone else had this issue? I've been reading and some people are saying it's the burning of the Merchandiser oil?
