So, I recently decided to try and save a few bucks and change my cabin air filter myself. This change was looong overdue, as it's a 2011 cruze LT, with what I'm assuming is the original filter. It was really clogged with leaves and dust, and I think when I took it out some debris may have fallen into the fan duct or something. I noticed immediately after, on fan settings 1 and 2 it's fine, but 3 and 4 make a dull, fairly loud humming noise. I tried with and without the new filter, and the noise was the same so i know it's the fan itself and not the new filter. I'm guessing a little piece of leaf or leaf stem fell down in the fan and it's making a lot of noise. What do you guys think? If you think it's the fan, do you guys know any ways to access it easily, and without ripping apart the whole dash to get to it? I really don't want to pay a dealer $60 an hour to hunt for a leaf. Thanks!
