Care for Leather Steering Wheel

5261 3
I just had the steering wheel in my 2017 cruze replaced due to the fact the leather wrap was peeling off. I was using Meguiar's gold class wipes which I used in my 2011 cruze. I have noticed that there is a significant texture difference between the 2011 and 2017 wheels which makes me wonder if I need to use a different type of care product.

Any ideas?

I've used Lexol on the Cruze's for years. It's fine, assuming you get rid of the excess conditioner like you're supposed to. If you don't, it'll be a slippery mess.

On my Volt, I don't plan to use it, since it's a bit matter of leather texture, and I don't want it shiny.
