Chevrolet Cruze Fog Light LED Bulb Replacements! Plug & Play Install! USA Made SLF!

Chevrolet Cruze Fog Light LED Bulbs

Diode Dynamics carries LED replacements for your Chevrolet Cruze's fog lights, in all major sizes. They are available in HP, XP, and SLF styles. This will make your Cruze's fog lights a nice bright white that closely matches factory-equipped HID lighting or LED DRLs! Just simple plug and play, replace the bulb and you are good to go!

Diode Dynamics offers the brightest, highest-quality bulbs on the market. Your order will ship same day, and we're here if you need us for support and service. These LED bulbs are designed by our engineering team here in St. Louis, and every bulb carries with it a three-year limited warranty.

Brightness:

Diode Dynamics offers several brightness options so you can choose what fits you best. These options are listed by the design and the lumen output of each bulb, compared to the factory bulb.

HP48: 265 lumens. Slightly lower brightness than factory.

XP80: 510 lumens. Similar brightness to factory.

SLF: Street Legal Output. Much brighter than factory. These are bright! USA Made!

Bulb Design

HP48: This bulb is designed with 48 Epistar 3014 LED chips. Thanks to the cap on the top, the light from this High Power Bulb is shined backwards and away from the bulb, not straight out. This means the output is excellent, because it uses the vehicle's housing completely, which then shines the light much more uniformly.

XP80: Each of the four sides of this bulb contains three 5W-rated chips, and the top is fitted with four more, under a projector lens. This is the brightest self-contained automotive LED bulb on the market, and is housed in an aluminum casing with a textured finish for maximum heatsinking properties.

These bulbs are made up of a quality plastic connector to slide right into the plug, as well as high durability terminals. A load resistor is embedded to prevent blowing the LEDs from voltage surge, and a diode is implanted to protect the LEDs from reverse polarity. The LED is wired for 12V operation, the kind found on all modern vehicles.

Included in your order is TWO BULBS (to fit your Chevrolet Cruze).

Hmm interesting, not sure if you have heard of a company called "brightassleds" before or not. If you have, how would you say your brand and their brand compare? I've been looking into led fogs but haven't decided yet. Thank you.
I haven't heard of "brightassleds", but I know that our products are designed, tested, and measured here in St. Louis

While I cannot comment on their product quality or brightness, I can show you how we measure ours:

In addition, we are a supporting vendor of this forum and offer a solid 3-year limited warranty on all of our lighting products

Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions: (314) 205-3033

Thank you for the response, I just wanted to know a few things because they are reasonably close in price. I'll have to watch your video when I get the chance. Again thank you.
You're welcome!

Feel free to ask if you have any questions! We also offer free-shipping for U.S. members

Thanks again,

Looks like a quality operation. I like the no-nonsense approach to the lumen ratings and such.

Will these bulbs fit the 2015 Cruze?
How would the foglight LEDs output compare to your HID kit?

They are a direct replacement to the factory bulbs. I recommend LEDs for the fog light applications, especially the 1,420 lumen XML2.

HID's will produce more lumen output, but LEDs are better suited for auxiliary locations like fog lights, backup lights etc...

Does the Colorado shown in the sample pics use a projector housing for the fog light? Curious because it appears there is a cutoff line on the wall. That being said, if those are projectors they likely won't look the same as the same bulb in a stock Cruze non projector housing. Very interested in these, just have my concerns because the people I've talked to running LED bulbs in their foglights have told me they look cool but the light output sucks.

The Colorado uses a reflector style fog light housing. The XML2's will perform better in a projector-style housing, but 1,420 lumens is plenty of usable output for the fog light location

Here's an example with our various LED options installed in a reflector style housing:

The HP48 is intended more as a cosmetic appearance upgrade, but the XML2 produces significantly more usable output than the stock halogen bulbs. (The Luxeon housings are the ideal setup, but aren't available for all vehicles due to vehicle-specific fitment)

Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions about our bulb models or the output measurements

Thanks!

Does anyone know if the XLM2 will for sure fit in the Cruze!? Website shows it needs extra clearance for the plug.

Hi Nick,

I need some help. I just got a 2016 Cruze LTZ Limited. It has the same LED DRL lights that the 2015 had. I would like to upgrade the fog lights to LED bulbs that match the color of the OEM DRL LED's.

Let me know if you carry something.

Thanks

I believe bulb-wise, The first generation (G1) (2011-2016 Limited) North American Cruze are nearly identical. Some (2011-2012?) didn't have a front dome light. Also I think only the 2011 has a glove compartment light.

However, if you get into body parts, like working with the fog light covers, then you can run into issues.
