T's right, don't waste your money. Those are originally intended for high-mileage vehicles.

+1 on the top tier gas. I've always used it.

Same here I been using chervon 93 octane ever since I bought the car.

I've been using Shell 93 Octane since i bought mine, i've used Chevron 93 a few times and i feel my car so different.

Its funny I felt the same way too lol. I filled up a few tank fulls of shell 93 octane and my car felt more "responsive or smoother" but when I switch to back to chervon my car still felt the same when I used shell 93 octane. I dunno maybe it was all my in head? lol either way both are good and our cars love it.

Top Tier gasoline around me easily runs $0.15-$0.20 higher than non-Top Tier fuel. At that difference, it's cheaper for me to throw a bottle of Techron in the tank every 5,000 miles, which has the same effect. That's good price for it too; I'll have to grab a few bottles.

That is simply not true for 99% of the country, doesn't matter if you buy top tier, another name brand, or a name name a block away. For 87 octane the price is never more than a few cents difference, in each given locality. Drive 20miles in any direction you might see a 20cent difference but I bet most top tier are the same price there too.

There is always a few stations that overcharge & change prices later than others, I suspect that is what you are seeing.

I always check out local pricing before filling my tank & have not paid more for top tier gas, ever.

It is absolutely true around me, when you factor in that nearly all of the top tier gas stations near me charge *at least* $0.05/gal to use a credit card (including ATM-debit), and I can get non-top tier fuel (USA Gasoline, aka Tesoro, or Costco) for a $0.05 to $0.10/gal cheaper (91 octane) and not get a CC surcharge.

It also matters that you're in one of the least-expensive fuel markets in the country and I'm in one of the most expensive.
