Hello:
I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze LT with 23K miles, LOVE IT.
I just had an oil change, I was told that the car mix oil with water.
Is this covered under PowerTran warrnty?
Can the repair be done at any chevy dealer? or only some.
Thanks

Who told you that? Water in Oil or Oil in Water is usually very bad. You have a new car warranty in addition to the Powertrain warranty. It should be looked at by a Chevy dealer.

That usually means a head gasket or oil cooler/radiator is mixing fluids...which is quite bad in any case. Yes, unless it's absolute neglect from overheating the engine and then continuing to drive, it should be covered by powertrain warranty at any Chevy dealer.

In the meantime, stop driving the car immediately...and have it towed to a dealer.

Um.......OP?

Where in this world are you operating the car?

Cold climate? Warm climate? Short trips? Long trips?

For example: Any engine operated in a cold climate, short trips, will make a great deal of internal moisture......usually collecting on the top of the cam cover and oil fill cap......kinda looks like streaky chocolate but the oil on the dipstick will look normal.

Details please before freaking out.
