I had a bit of an incident a while back with my Cruze. Some stuff got on the dash and in behind the buttons on the radio. It was all cleaned up fairly well except for what crept in behind the buttons and a bit into the front air vents. I found another thread about removing the dash plastic pieces, so I should be able to get in and clean the vent just fine. The radio buttons however, I didn't happen to see anything about being able to get in behind those. Is the plastic trim around the buttons able to be removed? If I can get that off then I should be able to get a small brush in there to clean it up a bit. When it's cold the buttons stick together.

try blowing air
It isn't dry particles behind there that would get blown out. It was a liquid substance that has since adhered to the surface behind the buttons and needs scrubbing.
