Clear coating tail lights

So I spray tinted my taillights and they turned out really good I just don't like how flat they look so I'm going to clear coat them. I taped off the reverse lights when I tinted them. Do you guys think I should tape them off again for the clear coat? Or won't it matter because its clear on clear? I just don't want to go through all that work of taping them off again if it won't make a difference. Thanks guys.

Yeah I planned on taking them off .. I was just talking about taping off my reverse lights.. But yes I will just paint over the whole thing... Thanks guys ill post pics when I'm finished
