Hi,

I've seen the DIY on MT removal. What I'd to know is, can the clutch components (PP, disk, throwout/slave, flywheel) be removed and replaced without dropping the cradle. I have see a number of sub-frame cars that you could do the job by moving the trans just far enough over.

Also, any other clutch replace tips.

THANKS

I would have to think that unbolting the sub frame onto jack stands and then raising the chassis enough to slide the sub frame assembly out would be easier to change out your clutch assembly . Easier to get to the bolts ..

 ..

Closest thing you "can" do is to just lower driver's side of frame and leave it hanging from right side and work around it. Some guys I've worked with swear by this and never undo the frame fully. I think it's a PITA to work around and well worth the minimal extra effort to re.ove it completely versus leaving partially in.

Remove exhaust
Separate lower ball joints
Remove upper sway bar link nut.
(Leave sway bar and steering rack attached to frame.)

There's other ways to skin a cat but I feel that's the least burdensome and least intrusive way.
