No, adding water isn't bad. I would buy a gallon of Dexcool concentrated for next time. You should try to keep a 50/50 ratio. Also, DI water is preferred.

Depends on how much you added and what your outside temperatures are. Ideally you will be about 50% coolant and 50% water. If you are in a cold climate then you really don't want less than 50% coolant for freeze protection. Assuming that you were at 50/50 to begin with and you added maybe 1 quart of water then you are now about 52% water and 48% coolant. Perfectly fine for summer months. Add straight coolant next time and you will be back about 50/50

Hot climates that don’t see freezing temps or only dip into the 20s can run up to 70% distilled water. The higher heat capacity of the water can keep engine temps more balanced.
