Well I just got my turbo back on and all back together to find out the coolant return line is leaking. I didn't replace this even though I had a new line I could get it unattached from the snap on cooling line fitting thing. Do these come apart? What's the best way? Can I just replace these fittings? Would anyone have a part #, I didn't see them when ordering the lines themselves.

It's something similar but I can't seem to find a clip anywhere on this one. I grabbed a OEM disonnect kit from Canadian tire but it didn't work. I'm thinking maybe it's a GM specific tool? I've been to 3 different places and no body has anything. >.< Just wanna get back on the road today and this is holding me back.. un fortunely no dealers are open to just buy 2 new fittings.

The fitting above is threaded both inside and out and the hose/tube end is smooth. Are you missing a piece?

Nope everything is there it's the two metal coolant lines that connect to the turbo right under the manifold. I was trying to find a easy fix because it was Sunday and the dealership was closed for parts. I ended up going buying 2 new fittings on Monday for $11 each and they just pop right in the new coolant lines there's no threads on the coolant line just a small groove in it and inside the fitting a place the grove pops into the only threaded side goes into the turbo and when it's full screwed in you can still spin the coolant lines around inside the fittings. You just need the special tool to remove them. I was just trying to get back on the road ASAP but I am back up and running now.

I tried also buying a OEM disconnect kit but the part that goes into the fitting was to thick, so I'm guessing this is a Cruze specific part? I added pictures of the OEM one I bought at crappy tire.

Interesting. I will be under the hood today so I will take a peek myself to see. I thought for sure it was a hidden clip that could be removed with a pick.

Thanks man! And yeah it does look like a little clip could be inside that maybe if you had a small enough pick and a bit of time could manage to get it out. I mean the Cruze specific tool I found online looks like it would go in around the hose and push the clip out of the way allowing the old hose to be pulled out of the fitting or something along those lines. I'm honestly just teaching myself all this as I go from cruzetalk and YouTube I'venever had experience with these fittings until now so I'm not 100% sure. ?? Ahaha I just gave up messing with it and waited to grab new ones. ?

That fitting is a one shot. Once you take it off it has to be replaced, the gasket on it goes bad, which usually means the whole line has to be replaced, because of how it works. It's threaded at one end, and inside it, there's a c-clip that opens up just enough to let the flange on the line pass through it, then it clamps down, creating a seal. It is almost impossible to replace that fitting. Recommendation would be to take the lines off of it, install the new fittings in the turbo, then snap in the lines to the receiving end.

Does anyone know if they have replaced this coolant return line without removing the turbo.. just removing the Catalytic converter? I saw a threat somewhere where it was done like that. I will ask my local dealer on Monday. As I have the leak too. I had so much warranty work before that hoses get pulled and weakened. I put on a new CAT last summer. Trying to keep her going.. 191,000 as of today.
