Sounds like a plan. My last car would wear out the plastic tank on the radiator - but only on the engine side. I was told it was from thermal cycling. It seems like the plastic is only good for so many cycles before it develops cracks. Seems like the water outlet would be the same thing.If mine lasts ten years I may have it replaced at the coolant change at 10 years.
