Rob, post a picture of the broken part please.

You have me confused with someone who: A, has something to take a picture with (other than an old Brownie)
B, Knows how to put a picture on line.

I can see it in my head though.....Comes attached with the little hose to the surge tank if memory serves.

OP's name also appears to be Rob, although OP could also just be a fan of Robb Loww. I think I know what part is leaking but without a picture there's no way we can be sure.
There's been a number of failures of the plastic water outlet. It connects the engine to a bunch of hoses. And it's covered by powertrain warranty. So if you haven't gone over 5 years/100,000 miles ....

There's more than one way to skin a cat! ;)

I shall copy and paste a picture of the suspected part from another thread and then robbloww can tell us if that is the part...

yep water outlet - covered on the 5 year 100,000 mile power train warranty. take it to the dealer and it should be zero cost.
i wonder if we should replace these every five or ten years. If mine lasts ten years I may have it replaced at the coolant change at 10 years.

Sounds like a plan. My last car would wear out the plastic tank on the radiator - but only on the engine side. I was told it was from thermal cycling. It seems like the plastic is only good for so many cycles before it develops cracks. Seems like the water outlet would be the same thing.

Probably wouldn't hurt to do the hoses as well. It's all stuff that will leave you at the side of the road when it blows.

Haven't heard back from the OP......guess the car is repaired.

That hose only costs about $8 and takes about 3 minutes to install. I would not bother taking to the dealer for that. I have not had to replace mine yet, but this is such a common fail point I went ahead and purchased, and will be replacing it next oil change even if it is not leaking. This is my daughters car and I don't want to take a chance of her driving it with a coolant leak and burning the engine up over an $8 part.
