Corrugated hose leaking

Does anyone know if the corrugated hose that snaps onto the top of the intake manifold is supposed to be air tight? I recently replaced my intake manifold but the hose connector is wanting to slip a little up and down and it wants to suck air in. Can't figure out what I am missing. Thanks Cruze family.

Check the corrugated hose inside for a plastic ring. There should be a rubber o-ring and a plastic ring in place. The plastic ring sometimes falls out while you're removing the corrugated hose, and it won't seat correctly without it.

100% that ^^^

Happened to me. New hose fixed the leak
Ok great! I figured it was something simple. Thanks guys.
Related question:

I had a leak with my old hose, so I bought a new one with both the o-ring and plastic ring in place. I was not able to get the hose to fully snap into place (with the metal clip) on the intake with the plastic ring in place, so I pulled it thinking that maybe it was just there for shipping to ensure that the o-ring didn't fall out. Fortunately, I kept it, just in case it was actually needed.

Could someone snap a picture of the o-ring and plastic ring fully seated into the hose?

Thanks for any help!
Following up to my own post in case anyone else reads this...

The answer is simply to press the plastic ring in as hard as you can over the o-ring without crushing the hose end (which I felt like I was close to doing). Was able to get the retaining clip to snap into place with some effort.
