Related question:

I had a leak with my old hose, so I bought a new one with both the o-ring and plastic ring in place. I was not able to get the hose to fully snap into place (with the metal clip) on the intake with the plastic ring in place, so I pulled it thinking that maybe it was just there for shipping to ensure that the o-ring didn't fall out. Fortunately, I kept it, just in case it was actually needed.

Could someone snap a picture of the o-ring and plastic ring fully seated into the hose?

Thanks for any help!

Following up to my own post in case anyone else reads this...

The answer is simply to press the plastic ring in as hard as you can over the o-ring without crushing the hose end (which I felt like I was close to doing). Was able to get the retaining clip to snap into place with some effort.
