I took my Cruze to an oil change place and the oil pan was cracked after they began working on the car. They said the last company that changed the oil out the wrong bolt in and over tightened it. They said there is a GM bulletin specifically warning of this issue. I can't find anything related to that. Any help would be appreciated! The repairs cost over $600.00.

Something smells really fishy here. Sounds to me like they were the ones that cracked the oil pan and are not willing to fess up to it. To my knowledge, there is no service bulletin on that and they are feeding you a line of BS.

What oil change place is this? A dealer? Or a Jiffy Lube type place? Please tell me it was a dealer.

Your car requires Dexos1 oil, I sure hope they are using it.

Welcome to CruzeTalk, by the way!

Whoever cracked it would start immediate leaking.
