Well I'll start this off with ride home yesterday. A Turbo Diesel Truck is driving in the passing lane going up a 2 lane hill at a relatively low speed. Me and some other cars were in the right-lane and just went around him because he wouldn't move. Well he must have picked me to hate because when I got to the top of the hill where it goes down to 1 lane, I saw black smoke behind me.. he gunned it probably between 85-100 to get up to me and then tried to cut me off. I held my ground and he had to get behind me. Then of course he is riding my butt..I drove normal.. then there is a short two-lane section up another hill. I figure he will just blow past me and that will be the end of it. Nope.. he continue to ride my butt then back off then ride it so I drop her down and pass the few cars and get back in my lane. It's a 45mph zone.. I ended at about 62.. look to my left.. Cop Car sitting just off the road in a nice hiding spot. I figured I would get pulled over but then I look back again and see the truck doing like 100 and passing in the oncoming lane. Then I see the cop lights light up. So I slow down and the truck catches up to me and we are going down the hill now.. His wife or whatever points out the window laughing at me like I'm going to get a ticket and then passes me. So here comes the cop.. I wait to see who he wants.. He stayed in their lane and picked them.. but it isn't over yet.. Now they know it is them so they slam on the brakes and cut into my lane.. I had to almost come to a complete stop.. the cop had to slam on his breaks too.. so I back off and let the cop go ahead and pull them over. As I drive by they yell at me and I just wave. I figured while "I" felt I had a reason to pass the cars.. "to get some distance from the nutjob".. the cop saw the bigger Ahole of the two. One who was doing 15 over.. or one that was doing 50 over and causing danger to the vehicles he cut off and could have had a head-to-head accident with.

That's one of those situations where you're like "where's a state trooper when I need one?" and you lucked out and got one! LOL

Driving through the mountains on my trip I experienced that a couple times with trucks, and other cars, for that matter. They can't make it up those inclines at all, and the Cruze just breezes by, but then on the downhill they must hit the gas... which makes no sense if they care about gas mileage.

Luckily the guy stuck to his Ahole personality or the cop would have just seen me speeding and never believed it. :)

Experienced the same this last week going to Arkansas. I said **** gas mileage and drove 85 the entire way. Mind you I-44 is hilly as all **** but I was just breezing by people. Some inclines I swear we're 55 degrees. Still came out averaging 38.2 MPG woot woot.

**My story is also in the last 2 weeks. Going 75 to work and nailed a bird. You know how they dart out and always barely miss your front end? Ya this one must have been flying on the short bus because he nailed my front bumper. Best part, no damage! It wa a loud thwack though! Oh well, natural selection right?

I hate when that stuff happens.. hasn't in this one yet but I once had a bat attached to my grill for a good 3 miles.. I had to peel him off when I got to work.

That's an awesome story OP! I recently had some ahole rolling coal (look it up, just idiotic) in his new looking huge diesel Ford truck that passed me and was in front of me for awhile. I was in my Civic at the time, and kept getting his soot though my blowers... nice guy. I did absolutely nothing to piss him off, I think it was just my "IMPORT" Honda Civic car... that was made in East Liberty, Ohio with likely a higher percentage of American parts than his truck

Haha it probably did have more American parts on it!

I actually had almost the same thing happen the other day(had to pass a dodge driving slow in the fast lane), after the hill when it went down to a 2 lane road he got within inches of my bumper. I was going 62mph in a 55mph zone so its not like I was driving slow.

Less than a mile down the road someone's loose dog jumps out in front of me and I had to jam on my brakes. Looking in my mirror I could see he was going to eat the back of my car, so I choose to aim for the dog/ditch/gravel shoulder & I could see him cranking it toward the center line. I missed the dog but that dodge wasn't so lucky, his entire bed of his truck was full of lawn equipment and tools, I think most of his crap ended up all over the highway when he was sideways.

I bet that guy thinks i brake checked him, as he was following so close there is no way he saw that dog.

I don't know why they have too be such a holes. It's like they are trying to prove something. Did the dog make it? Good for the guy to lose his crap. When I had my gsxr every car wanted to race me. I'm like why waste my time.. they had no chance but they would still try stupid crap regardless.

I've been driving so much highway for the last 15 years, I've seen so much, I've reached the point where I'm desensitized too most of it. Except for this one about 3 months ago.

Typical morning commute driving to work. The highway has the information billboards which typically will just broadcast depressing data on how much your ride is going to suck that particular day. Well this day was different. The board read...and I'm not lying.

"Logs on Highway. Expect Delays. Seek Alternate Routes"

I'm thinking to myself, this can't be good. No sooner did I see the board, I saw the line of brake lights and there was no escaping it.

As I'm crawling through traffic and getting closer to the accident scene. I can a logging truck on the opposite side of the highway and it's jammed into the cement median. Among the see of cruisers, I begin to see all of the carnage that had occurred. The fully loaded logging truck slammed into the median and had sent the majority of it's 6' long x 18" diameter logs into both lanes of traffic. Well if you can think about the physics of a vehicle impacting a log at highway speeds. It's not pretty.

There were 2 Camry's with the complete front under carriage removed,no tires or suspension. Just laying in the road with it's face down and A$$ up. There was a Comcast van that was impaled, leaving the log in the cargo area with the rear wheels 2 feet of the ground. There was also a Dodge 2500 diesel that managed to loose a front wheel and was left hobbled in the middle of the road.

Amazingly enough, there were no fatalities.

That had to be the weirdest I've seen so far. However, tomorrow is another day.

That's insane. Like something from Final Destination. I have seen a tractor trailer jackknife.. Trailer fell apart all over the road. Luckily it was empty and there really want much traffic

The best one was when a d!ckhead driving a Prius rear ended a Fedex truck in a road rage incident gone bad. The Prius was essentially trying to brake check / squeeze play a Honda TSX. The Prius was too busy looking in his rear view mirror that they forgot about the Fedex truck in front of him.

It was probably the most rewarding I've seen so far.

And if you're wondering, Yes rainbows and teddy bears did come out of the Prius when it gave up the ghost.:eusa_clap::)

Lol Nice..:eusa_clap:

Well guess what.. same hill as I originally posted.. but this time it was a lexus SUV.. except I was ahead of them and at the top of the hill they decided to cut into oncoming traffic again.. (This time I was not trying to keep distance.. I let them go). No cops this time but the lady did fly over the hill and almost slam into the back of a tractor trailer. I guess she didn't remember that when you drive 90 on a hill to try and look cool that there are 50,000lb trucks that also drive up the hill at 15mph.. Was some funny crap.. made my day.

I don't know what it is about that hill but makes people DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

When I had my gsxr I would rip down the roads but one thing I didn't do is put others in danger. Didn't cut in and out on them unless there's was plenty of room. But I have seen guys wheelie from the stop light and almost wreck. When I wheelied it was open and no cars near me. I was I guess half ******* lol. Now I'm wiser for the most part and eco drive lol

I am guessing the BOV is significantly louder because I know stock you can't hear it at all in the car.. and outside you really really really have to listen.. basically be able to hear a ladybug fart .. to hear it.

I think that you could look at people wrong and they will want to race or do stupid crap when you are out and about. I remember once a neighbor was drunk and got upset that his friends .. girlfriends.. daughter wouldn't put shoes on so he got in his car.. drove backwards up 2 one way streets and almost backed into a police car. He hid hid his vodka in a water bottle but there was no escaping his lunacy .. what a moron.. haha

I wish we had adaptive CC for that reason. I never use it because I can't stay in CC for more than 2 mins. Even setting it at 56 mph in a 60 mph zone I need to pass someone during non traffic daylight hours.

I have noticed in the Manual Trans.. that CC when on a stretch is fine... on inclines is fine.. downhill or slight downhill you can feel it push pull back and forth .. it's like an ex I had that couldn't drive right.. she would put her foot on the gas then off.. instead of just keeping it steady.. drives me nuts. Luckily my Vibe didn't have it so I am pretty good at maintaining speed even without CC on.. :)

It completely slipped my mind what I saw yesterday. I was riding along the expressway for 271 between brainard and chagrin when I saw an explorer spinning out into the grass. No cars actual hit her, she must have floored it in the rain with a donut on the back axle. My cruise control was set to about 67 and she was doing more than that before the spin out.

Sent from my iFail 5s

Haha rear donut doing +70 in a van..in the rain. Lol

I had CC in my 1999 5 speed manual Commodore with the 3800 engine and I haven't found an auto that even comes close to being as good, including my Cruze diesel. That doesn't mean the Cruze is bad, just that the Commodore was better.

In my 1987 Chevy Cavalier z24 manual 5-speed it worked great.. hehe.
