Greetings Cruze Team!!!
I'm just looking for some public opinion here to see if I have the wrong expectations from a person-to-person sale on here. I purchased the Yakima Rack System advertised on here last month https://www.cruzetalk.com/forum/53-...yakima-roof-rack-system-w-diffuser-locks.html. I got a fair price at $190 for what looked like a used complete system (I researched craigs list and saw anywhere from $150 to $200 for similar configurations). Here is what was advertised:
Parts included in this listing:
BaseLine Towers (Set of Four)
#8000146 ($199)
BaseClip 137 (B32-5)
#8006137 ($50)
BaseClip 127 (B41-5)
#8006127 ($50)
RoundBar Small 48"
#8000408 ($119)
RoundBar SL Adapter
#8003536 ($30)
34 inch WindShield
#8005016 ($109)
SKS Lock 4 Pack
#8007204 ($59)
Total: $616
So the seller was nice and the item arrived well packed within a week. I was busy so it took a few days for me to open and inspect. What I found was a used system in good condition as shown in pictures and I was pleased. So upon the Detailed inspection I found that there were NO keys for the locking system and only two(2) of the advertised four(4) locks. So I contacted the seller about the keys and he then realized that he had given the keys when he sold a Yakima bike rack. I took the Locks into REI (30 minute drive) to have them pull the cores (need blank key which also should have been with the rack...) and get the SKS key number for replacement. I emailed the seller the SKS key number and was told... AS IS, you got a great deal. So now to make this system "as advertised it will cost me another $50 plus waiting time. Seller says I'm trying to take advantage for asking compensation for his mistakes.
