Hello,

Firstly, I am not a mechanic or even close to one, but I have done my oil changes and light tune-ups on my cars before. I got 2016 (but under the hood is the same as 2017, the battery in the trunk) My problem is, should I disconnect the negative battery cable in the trunk or the one under the hood? I see the positive cable under the hood but not sure which one is the negative cable as shown in the pic. The red circle is positive, but not sure if circle blue 1 or circle blue 2 should be disconnected to work on the car, please help

Why are you disconnecting it?
I have a P1101 code, need to change the air filter and possibly change the MAF sensor. I know it's not a big deal but my understanding is that anytime you work on cars, you should disconnect the battery to avoid any problems. I also want to check near the Turbocharger, because I had problems before. Thank You

I would not disconnect the battery negative for an air filter of MAF sensor.
