Cruze Bluetooth PDIM (for Bluetooth Audio Streaming)

Bought this from another member and decided to sell it. Works fine. $75 shipped. If your Cruze has a PDIM and does not have bluetooth audio streaming, this will allow you to get bluetooth audio (music) streaming in your car instead of having to plug in the aux cable.

Check to make sure your vehicle has a PDIM first before buying this. It will be located behind the coin tray. You'll need to remove the shifter trim and the coin tray, and it will be a wide rectangular box held back by two clips. I'll post a picture below of what it looks like.

Hey,
I just purchased my 2015 Cruze LT and was disappointed to find out the bluetooth is for audio connectivity only and no media. I've been researching through this forum and it sounds like this is the part that I would need to purchase in order to keep the hands free controls working but also add BT media. I know this is sold but can you confirm this is what would allow that feature to work?

It is. Same part for2011-2015 and the 2016 Limited I believe
For sure the 2011-2015
Hey guys, help me understand what you are talking about as my son recently bought a 2011 Cruze LTZ RS. The phone connects for calls, but not music.
So if it has a PDIM, all I need to do is replace it with the one pictured above by kgregor1 and calls and music both will work.
Is that correct?

Newbie here. What is a pdim ? Sorry for the stupid question. I've seen it posted a few times. And I'd also like to swap the part if I have it. Lol.

I do have usb and 1/4 jack.

And another newbie mistake. Just noticed this is a for sale thread. Sorry. Maybe someone can pm me
The PDIM (Preferred Device Interface Module) allows you to directly connect many USB-compatible devices to your car to play music. It also allows you to wirelessly play music from a supported device via Bluetooth.

What I posted is what I've heard so far I won't be 100% sure until I try it for myself in a week or so

Hey there, there's a few things you can check first if you have a USB based device and play music (not Pandora//Spotify) then hold down the menu button on the Cruze it will show you the versions on the car currently. For some reason I thought ltz had Bluetooth media and call audio
The PDIM upgrade is nice when my direct connect decides nothing is attached, which happens mostly when outside temperatures are up (75+F), so it's a heat-related issue; probably a solder joint somewhere.

Very annoying. I can tell it's going to happen when it takes 30 seconds for the radio to initialize upon starting the engine, even when the iPod is running fine in ACC or (engine off) RUN.

BTW, it did this before the BT upgrade, too, so it's not the PDIM.

Those of us who have done this upgrade have used the Camaro PDIM (PN 20985421) and it works.

Here's the thread that talks the whole thing through:
