Finally got around to the Cruze this weekend and had the valve cover, intake manifold and the hose all replaced (615-380KIT)… (don’t plan on keeping the car past December 😕, which is why I didn’t opt for the fix kit). The car is back to running normal and the MPG went up from 27/28 to 30, my question is about the gaskets/seals that leaked due to the PCV issue… will the seals continue to seep a noticeable amount of oil now that I replaced the major PCV components? I know that the front crankshaft seal, VVT gasket, and oil pan all have oil seeping out. I already know the PCV issue is what caused the oil puddle below my throttle body from what I read on here…. It seems like a silly question to me but I’m wondering how soon the seals nees to be replaced after just recently replacing the PCV components… am I vulnerable to any other issues besides oil seeping? The most oil I lost between oil changes (POST PCV FIX) was half a quart. Stil getting a permanent P0420 code but nothing else. All input appreciated.

Blowby from the piston rings? Dude, I read your post three times and I'm lost.
Are you saying you still have oil leaks from replaced seals?
I edited post. I’m asking if I’m vulnerable to anything else being faulty now that I replaced the pcv system but not the seals/gasket. I had 3 oil leak spots (all of which are “common” among 1.4t’s with a bad pcv system… at least in my forum and Reddit research shrug)

Seals pretty much either leak or they don't. You won't hurt anything by running a leaky seal so run it and see if any seals still leak.
If they do, replace. If not forget about it... At least until your cooling system takes a dump!..:)

The only thing I can think of is turbo oil inlet and outlet. Not many people know the PCV system helps with the turbo charger oil flow. If you have never changed the oil inlet line, now would be a good time to do it regardless.

After 160,000 miles I’ve had enough of this Cruze. It’s been a daily beater anyways the last 2 years. Lots of miles put on it in such a short time due to travel for work, recently changed positions so travel is just two 40 min trips mon-fri now.

I had the whole turbo assembly replaced along with the valve cover under warranty at 70,000-80,000 miles and just hit 160,000 miles today.
