CRUZE ECO with manual has strange noise but it's normal.

- start Engine
- 1st gear
- 2nd gear ( door lock sound )
- drive for 5 - 7 seconds and you can hear "Giii-Rit!!~~"

It's very loud when it's cold. It is obvious the sound is from a mechanic switch. Dealership has confirmed every ECO with manual makes this sound. it is NORMAL. But it is very much annoying. The sound is exactly same from ,somtimes, your bumper hits the road when you get into the road.

Does anyone know which component makes this sound? I went to chevrolet service but they don't know what makes the sound but they just showed me other brand new ECO has same sound.

I called chevrolet to know which component makes this sound but they said they couldn't give any information and they said every single information should be from dealership.

Now I understand it's normal but I'm worrying when this sound is gone.

What is the meaning the sound is gone? Am I in danger? Then what should I do?

I just came from JAPAN march this year. And 3 weeks ago I bought CRUZE. this cuze eco has electrical noise also.

They said it's very much normal. But it's not acceptable for people who just came from JAPAN. My 2002 accord I used until Feb this year was so much better than my 2011 CRUZE ECO.

My Civic didn't make that kind of sound, My Accord didn't make that kind of sound.

It's not normal.It's very loud especially when it cold.

Maybe it depends on the cars people drived before. For me, It's annoying.

What years were your Civic's and Accord's?

It is completely possible that they didn't have the technology installed to do the check, thus you never heard the noise. I owned a 79 buick regal, guess what, it didn't have a ABS check or injector knock.

I want to get the focus back.

I want to say there's sound from ECO cruze which is very loud and you can easily recognize something is moving.

I don't know whether it is ABS check or something else. I DON'T CARE!!

By the way, are you telling every single car ( or most of cars ) which has ABS check-like things has this kind of sound?
