Must think it's a Volt...heh.
Try yanking the negative battery cable for ~10 minutes and see if it'll reset the cluster.

It's a computer. Computers hate bad power. I'd start by forcing a reboot by disconnecting the battery for awhile.My cluster got buggered when I had a low voltage engine crank (attempt). Has been weird ever since, but still functional...
No dice. I did exactly that when I swapped the battery the next day (dead battery prompted). Lots of weird stuff happens on low voltage.
