I am just curious did anybody performed compression test on the 1.4 LUJ engine? does anyone know what should be the compression of the cylinder?

With my gauge they were all 175 psi

id assume like any other car, consistency is key. not necessarily the numbers. but for a new car i'd expect to see 150 across the board at a minimum.

The one i had had 2 bent valves which hit the pistons.So i got to do a lot of playing around with it.A number of compression tests and leak down tests.Todays cars tend to have the same compression on all cyls for the most part

GMSI states the compression should be between 174 to 203.1 psi

There should also not be any more than 14.5 psi difference between the highest and lowest cylinder.

I did a cold test on my 2014 cruze lt (1.4 L) with 100k miles because I wanted to change the spark plugs and I got the following results:

Dry: 220, 180, 210 ,205
Wet: 260, 220, 250, 235

It was my first test so I am not sure how reliable these results are.
It does not have any problems, fuel consumption is a bit lower than designed around 25 mpg in city but it's a manual and I like to rev it up a little. Should I be worried?? Should I do anything about this??
