I am going to upgrade the radio in the coming weeks, but didnt want to spend the money for a bluetooth radio since i do not use bluetooth audio. I would only get a bluetooth radio if the bluetooth calling in my car would be lost. Can anyone tell me what the deal is here??

I'm not 100% sure on this, but it seems it does. I was advised to remove the pairings before I swapped the radio (i was putting in a bluetooth capable aftermarket unit). It seems you can't use those buttons for anything else though, unless you disable onstar. So... I think if you left your pairings there, it might actually work. However I don't think you'll be able to change them after, so make sure you have your pairings straight first. otherwise the SWC send/end buttons will then try to do Onstar calling.

Do i have to have the onstar and xm hooked up im thinking of replacing the stock radio too i dont use on star and xm anyways can i just buy a wire harness for radio only?
