Door lock solenoid

My '12 Eco's driver's door lock solenoid had grown weak to the point where the lock button had to be hit 2-3 times to get the door to lock. The solenoid is incorporated into the latch assembly and cost about $100 wholesale, but it can be found on eBay new for about $50. I replaced it last weekend. I was pretty straight forward and took about an hour. The only issue I had was releasing the outside door lock to latch rod. I broke the clip, but it still held the rod fine.

I've owned GM vehicles for the last 30 years, and several of them have had this issue. Has anybody else seen this problem on the Cruze?

Gus,

Did you by any chance get pictures of the process?

I thought about it for a minute, but forgot about it as soon as I started. I just never really think about it after I get started on a job. I only have a few pictures of my salvage rebuilds.
