I just completed this project myself. Took about two hours and I did it from underneath (car was on ramps). Hardest part was accessing the top screw on the fogs but otherwise, straight forward install and looks great. Really makes a difference in appearance. I have to agree that those instructions sucked but were helpful to a degree. I referenced this walkthrough a few times before doing it and therefore didn't really need the instructions much :)

Thanks for this info. I'm completing the purchase of a new eco at this time and going to have them do the install. Great job BTW.
Ah...Maybe not. Didn't realize the injen also called for the front end to come off. The dealership was crazy on the install price as someone posted. You got me wondering though. Chevy loves to shut down the fogs when your high beams are on. This drives me nuts as it's when you need your fogs the most. Do yours shut down when going high? If so I'm going to mod.

My dealer installed the fogs for 1.5 hours labor, and did NOT have to pull the front end or re-program. They went underneath the front bumper, but did have the car on a lift, which makes it much easier.

High beams shut down fogs...

People driving with their fog lights on drive me nuts... because they use them as extra headlights, which they don't work for.

If you have your high beams on you are trying to light up down the road for some reason... if you are using your fogs you are trying to get light low and close (under the fog).

The two types of lights DO NOT work together to provide you any benefit, which is why GM shuts the fogs off when the high beams are on. I'd like to shoot out the fog lights on all the dumb SUV's I see around here running around with their fogs on all the time.

Please don't rig your car to have both high beams and fogs on.

I saw them on the GM website.

But on the list that lists what the kit includes it states:

"Programming Required (Not included in the price of kit)"

What exactly is this? Do you have to buy this seperately since it says its required?

Bought on ebay for $195 and installed from bottom of car with ramps in just over 2 hrs. No need at all to take off bumper. Now that I know what I'm doing I would see no problem in completing this project in about an hour. No programming is required!

How much easier is it when you take the bumper off? My friend has a pretty good ramp probably about a little less than a foot high. Is it truly worth taking the bumper off or is it non-aggravating enough to install without taking the bumper off. Im a patient worker and have done long projects over 4 hours before.

The bumper comes off in 15 minutes, and back on in 10. I'll be taking it off to install my foglights.

This is the part number on the kit I have right in front of me:

95469569

The kit comes complete with everything needed.

I'd highly recommend spending the $10 for Xpel headlight protection film. Two 4"x4" squares of clear or yellow film will protect the foglights from road debris and hazing over. Considering the kit is $200, it's worth an extra $10 to me to protect the foglights.

Hmm I might look into buying the kit and doing this. I have the black plates at the moment and they don't look too good.

Replacing the bulbs needs some ramps and to take off the lower splash shielding underneath the bumper. The assembly is screwed in from the back, so it's impossible to replace from the front.
