There's been known issues with the negative cable causing weird effects.
When was the plugs changed?
Coil packs are also known to burn out.
You say no start. Does the car crank no start or not crank at all? Might be bad alternator or battery too.

Codes would be helpful but you didn't say anything about engine light being on.
