Good afternoon.
I was wondering what, if anything, has anyone been able to successfully do to increase the performance for their vehicles.
I want to specifically look at injectors and turbo. Has anyone found a good fit with a power increase in the options?
Thank you for your time. Glad to be here, hope to find some good information

The injectors and fuel pump are already pretty sufficient.

There’s a couple drop it turbo candidates but overall they are roughly same size so minimal gain. Our engine also makes heavy use of closed loop (like a Gas engine with an O2 sensor) so that means it’s not quite as simple as adding boost and expecting more power.

Trifecta tune is emission legal tune. As far as off the shelf big power adders not much. Heck I’ve yet to see a upgraded intercooler yet let alone big turbo. The platform limiter is the trans.

Nice!
My car is tuned and deleted (I use it OFFROAD only)........
Turbo back exhaust (straight piped). EFI live. K&N air intake. Right now, I feel like there is so much more power that could be had out of this engine.. few more 10's of HP. Which would make good use for this little car..
Im not seeing any smoke, yet. Not that I'm trying to fogg the place, but i know its not getting "too much" in the aspect that the engine can handle more and burn it off.. How much more? I'm not sure... Then I can test out the air flow, via turbo to hopefully find a sweet spot for both. If that makes sense...

your engine will long give up the ghost before the engine does. They are rated at a max of 350 ft lbs.

OZ used to have 3 tunes for the A20DTH in the Cruze. +30, +40 and +50 HP. The +50 made excessive smoke which is why the +30 was more common as it was clean and power was in the RPM midrange.

Thats who I went with.
It stays on the highest setting, and I have seen some improvements (over stock), but I'm no where near that point for some reason.

There were 2 versions, special edition and standard.

OZ only offered the +30, +40 and +50 HP different tunes with the standard emissions system intact.

The off-road or “special edition” tune was +30 HP. They could create a custom +50 HP special edition off-road tune for you and somebody on here tried it. They said it was really smoky and the normal +30 was more streetable and drove better without smoke.

Im not sure what youre trying to say there.?
My engine will give up the ghost before my engine does.?
Sorry, im a little slow..
Sorry I was using voice to text. Seems like I should stop using it. What I meant to type was that the engine WONT be the limiting factor. The TRANSMISSION will I’ve up the ghost long before. Engine can handle a good deal. The trans is only rated for 350

Thank you sir.
I will have to look into that next.
Do you happen to know of anything good for it? Can you put a bigger pan?

It would need to be built. I think these transmissions can hold more power because they came in European cars making more than 350 lb/ft. I believe Sonnax makes some performance AF40 internal parts. The A20DTH and AF40 driveline were much more common in Europe and were installed in many SAAB and Opel models. A European tuner may provide more info if you’re serious and want to spend the money.

I've looked, but never have been able to come up with anything. There has to be something with how widespread its use is.

Well without a performance internal built this will help. NO WHEEL HOP, seriously get sticky tires like UHP summer tires in appropriate climate so the car hooks and goes. Wheel hop is a lot of drive line abuse. Bypass the transmission heater likes going into the radiator end tanks. They are great for keeping the temps stable and warm up quicker in cold. However they will limit how well the after radiator oil to air cooler can get the ATF cool. Hot fluid equals bad things. Upgrade to a even bigger bar and plate oil to air trans cooler.

This company in the Netherlands was helpful in answering my questions and is knowledgeable about SAABs and the AF40. They may be able to help you. https://kcperformance.eu/
