I was told that when you change any electrical component on the engine it has to be recalibrated, is this true? Here is the scenario The car had a blown up engine and transmission from being towed with the manual transmission in gear. Replaced both items and we have had multiple problems since and we did not recalibrate the engine. I have a snap-on motus scanner and could not find out where it would recalibrate the engine. Will only a dealer computer recalibrate the engine?
Thanks

If you were under 5 years or 100,000 miles you could have attempted to obtain engine or transmission warranty coverage from your Dealer, just not telling them about the tow. I believe they would need to properly program the Cruze after a major repair like this?

More info about original/donor please.

Was the engine out of the same YEAR Cruze? From an automatic donor perhaps?
