Hi,

I am trying to diagnose a PO171.

A high long term fuel trim ( >30 %) is setting the check engine light.

No air/vacuum leaked detected. PCV and O2 sensors check out.

Trying to figure out if the MAF is faulty. Disconnected it with engine running and engine kept running (increased revs). Does this confirm a faulty MAF?

Thank you.

No, it does not mean you MAF is faulty. Car will run with MAF disconnected. If it would not run with MAF connected, and then would with it disconnected, then you would be on to something.

The P0171 is likely a failed PCV disc in the valve cover. It is a 100% failure item on all LUV/LUJ 1.4T Cruzes.

This thing should not be hissing/sucking air.
