hey guys I have a 2014 Cruze diesel the car is completely stock, updated to the latest gm calibration. the car will start and idle normal until you try to rev it up, it will stumble and "choke" I believe it is an egr issue if I unplug the valve the car will rev up like normal. if the egr valve is plugged in it will stumble. I replace the egr valve with a new GM valve and still same issue. I have ohmed the harness from the egr valve connector to the x2 ecm connector and every wire was .03 ohms. something is telling the egr valve to open and it shouldn't be but I am at a loss any help is appreciated.

My initial thoughts, in no certain order, based on what your saying is.

1) Fuel filter
2) quality of the fuel
3) throttle plate not fully open

But we need way more detail about what the car did or what has been done to it prior to the issue you are describing.

Filter and fuel are good I checked throttle plate and it is good as well. I know the egr valve is opening at idle and it shouldn’t be the question is why. The car is completely stock and just started running rough not missing but like it’s being choked out. Will start right up and idle but if you try to rev it up it will choke real bad and almost die.

Well then I'd get a scan tool on it and see what the pcm is commanding the egr to do.

I would think it would have egr codes.
