Engine swap question

Well I ordered an engine and apparently its a eighth letter G which is a gas engine. Will this be a big issue? I was told that I now need to add a new air flow sensor and possibly a few new components to not have the check engine light on. Does anyone know what new things I will need to make this engine work for my car? Thanks in advance
