Last friday when I got home from work the wife said something was wrong with our car we purchased 2 years ago. 2013 Chevy Cruze Lt so I went to take a look and put my code reader on it, sure enough it was broke, P0299 and 2 sensor codes, I did start it and I could hear the turbocharger grinding a little.

Monday I told wife to clean it out and we could go trade it in, she did and when I got home from work she greeted me with papers that we purchased an extended warranty, took to Chevy dealer who said they were not allowed to honor the warranty since I purchased from a Ford dealer, ok, so to the Ford Group dealer in town and was told I had to take it to the Ford Chevrolet dealer about 28 miles away and called them to make an appointment for me.

Today was the day, but last evening I asked wife if she wanted some brandy, yes but we don't have a vehicle, told her if I need to drive it to Lewisburg tomorrow it better make it the 2 mile to the store, well it made it there but did act up coming home.

This morning 7:30 I called Fairfield Group Chevrolet explaining the situation, they responded they did not have a rollback but would take care of getting one to me, at 9 I was at the dealer and they told me it would cost me $185 to replace (not sure if was the 02 sensor or oil return line), at noon they gave me keys to a courtesy car and told me it would be a couple hours because they needed to replace turbocharger.

We went back at 2:30 and my vehicle was ready, I asked if this was common, no, what did I do wrong, nothing, it just happens.

Service man handed me the keys and I asked how much, WARRANTY COVERED IT ALL, NO Charge.

I must thank that dealership for the courtesy and honesty, something a lot us have had trouble with.

I am HAPPY

I don't know if I can actually explain why I got a little run around. Around here we sort of have a small monopoly of dealers which I will use abreviations for and not actually name them, they both have many locations withing a 75 mile radius of our small city, there is B A who has dealerships such as BA Honda, BA Chevrolet, BA Toyota etc, same thing with F Auto Group, if you buy a vehicle from either one that is where it needs to get serviced, they must not step on each others toes.
I really don't care about the run around, it got fixed. all it says on contract is must be authorized prior to commencement of repairs

Best I can tell from paperwork is First Extended Warranty Corporation Chicago Illinois

Wow in a quick review of this company they are the lowest rated provider out there. I assume Blaise Alexander sold this to you and could have provided a better choice like the GM product. In any case you should be able to go anywhere for service although there are repairs that do require a trip to the original manufacturer.

You might want to look into a pro rated cancellation of this policy as its worse than I even thought. Funny thing as MIC, the company many of us have with the ALLY GMPP is also in Chicago, Hog Butcher to the World!

Eddie, very interesting links, kind of scary really. I purchased the vehicle from Fairfield Auto Group and they are the ones that sold me the extended warranty. I will be looking at the GMPP program for sure, I must say that I was one lucky man to have everything taken care of according to what I read on the consumer site.

Thank you for the reply.
