Just installed a Camaro Frameless Rearview Mirror in my 2014 CTD replacing the factory Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror so the Auto-Dim Mirror is now for sale.
$50 USD, (PayPal preferred), shipped in the US.

It was harder to take off the plastic cover around the base than it was to install the actual mirror!Very cool mod. How difficult was it to do?
Remove cover. (Instructions here)
Once the cover was off it was just 1 T-20 set screw and the old mirror slid right off.
Unplug the OnStar Buttons connector from the back of the old mirror and plug in the new.
Make sure the wires are routed to not interfere with the cover and tighten down the new set screw.
Re-install the cover.

Any benefit besides the frameless look? Can you see more toward the side?
Yes! But mine is not the Auto-Dimming one so you can see the dimming flipper lever underneath.This is the one you swapped to?

I would say the view is pretty much the same except that there is no thick frame around the mirror so it "looks" like it has a wider view but really isn't. Optical illusion.Any benefit besides the frameless look? Can you see more toward the side?
I changed it because that frame always bugged me since I bought the car. :tututtongue4:
