Factory touchscreen not always loading, buttons not always working

afternoon everyone! I've got a 2012 cruze eco with the factory touch screen nav system. Its at 135k miles so it appears out of recall coverage for the negative battery cable. And to be honest I have no idea if that has anything to do with this problem but it is listed as a possible side effect to the battery cable.

Just recently the radio has started going crazy it will turn on and off randomly (Screen goes black and all lights are lost on radio controls). The steering wheel controls won't work sometimes, the screen will say SD card data loading, and the station presets don't appear. It will turn on and off 2-3 times until it slowly loads then does it again. It will stay normal after about 10 minutes. When it finally resets the GPS is always way off until it gets is bearings. All other electrical seems to be good with the car. The DIC and a separate meter always reads 12.5-15.4 volts.

So my question is to those who had the negative cable problem did yours do this or do you think it is something else?

Dude go out of your way and get the Cable replaced and go from there ...if your still getting a screwie function from the HU rip IT out and send IT back to GM with a Note Stating you would rather have something that functions as designed with reliability than this POS .....

I will be waiting for the response from GM .

I've got the part ordered so hopefully soon it will be here and either fix it or rule it out. I'll let you guys know.
