My 2013 doesn't have numbers in the temp and gas gauges. Is this something you get in an ECO that you don't get in a 1LT? I kind of like it...
Yes, ECO is the 3rd tab on 13 and up and I believe extra numbered tabs on models below.

OnStar app gives you fuel level in percent and gallons but haven't tried to see how accurate it was. It also shows lifetime mpg and trip counter 1

WHAT? That's the dic display I really want to see! Your instant history as you're driving in small steps! My '12 Canadian Eco only shows over the last 31 miles (50km).

What year/model is that pic from???

I usually reset this one and the best mpg game one at times. Largest I seen the trend go was 50 miles. I think it changes when you change best from 25-50-500 miles

Second tank of gas averaging about 43 MPG on the DIC. I had it around 48 but every time the wife takes the car out it comes back significantly lower lol.
I don't think she is being "ECO Friendly" with the 1st 3 gears. The number I keep freaking out about is my lifetime mpg OnStar tells me I am getting. It goes down by 1 every month like clockwork. 30 MPG is where it sits now.

I just cannot get a 16 gallon fill, no way, no how. Today I did an "early" fill getting ready for my trip to ottawa tomorrow... Anyway, DIC said I used 3.8 gallons (first click fill last time). The pump stopped at 4.8 gallons with the fuel overflowing out of the **** car. I'm at a loss here. Trickle fill the whole time?
Not all pumps are equal. Quick fill and trickle the rest never works and I have a lot of foam interfering with he fill up. It's almost like pouring a draft beer into the glass and letting the head roll off situation if I don't give it time. I tried the reasonable fast(not full on) and trickle fill still shot back at me and onto the paint. I ended up just getting something to eat and coming back out to try again. It also seems like it's easier to trickle when all the pumps are in use vs you are the only one pumping. (not scientifically proven, just what I noticed using only 2 pumps to fill). The best slow trickle pump I had was on base in NJ, not sure about off base because I would end up with almost 10 gallons. They aren't going to trickle fill me past the 1st cut off on fast trigger lock making the modded fuel pump assembly a must.

My Shell did but I had to be real creative and break the stream up at times. After about 12 gallons in the tank, it takes me 3 mins a gallon after that. I wonder if they just sit inside and watch me take forever filling the car? I only trickle to the top when I am going on 1000 miles of road trips at the end of the month. Trickle on day to day driving leaves me with a full tank of gas to haul around for a long time. 12-13 gallons is cheaper and fresher from me constantly filling it from 1/4 empty.

Yeah I like how I can drive from Cleveland to well beyond Breezewood with the needle still on full mark and a floating 400's estimating fuel range to go. Lately I couldn't trickle to save my life, it just wasn't hapeneing for me.

Not impossible, you just have to control all undesirable behaviors for THAT ENTIRE TANK OF GAS. That's where I fall short every time. 3 hrs worth of 80 mph is usually on everyone of my tanks, those 8 hr drives get long and stuff closes up by the time I reach my destination.

The route I take kinda influences it but speed is the most of it. Being trapped behind a rolling roadblock doesn't make it any better as you tent to speed away the second you get a window. Sometimes the song and the speed control volume can get you to speed more. I try to avoid certain songs on an open freeway.

If the government opens, I'll try 2 more times next weekend then call it quits. It's going to snow soon and the winter gas usually comes to haunt us by or just after Halloween. Since my work schedule changed, I should be able to start out early. I used to work 8 hrs, take a nap then drive 8 hrs out of town.

Yeah in 40 degree weather idle does nothing to the needle. One if these days I'll dig up my scan gauge II and see what temps are after a few mins. Takes me 12 mins of driving to get heat in 45-50 weather I wonder what it is in the winter.
