Fitting RS hubs on an ls?

Hello I'm new here. I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze ls with the 5x105 bolt pattern. After talking with a few fellow mechanics I was wondering if anybody has tried putting Cruze RS hubs (5x114.3) on an ls. After looking at the steering knuckle and comparing designs of hubs they look to be the same and should work. (Why would a manufacturer make a completely different design and waste all the money right?) Please comment your thoughts or if you've done it before

All Cruzes wear 5x105 bolt pattern wheels unless it's a Gen 1 Diesel.

Next question, if you buy Diesel or Verano wheel bearings/hubs, can you put Verano wheels on your ECO?

No. Axles are different too and wouldn't fit the Verano hub. Likewise, axles wouldn't fit in the Cruze trans.

Yup - because of the different (unique) trans in the Gen 1 Diesel.
