Frustrating oil leak

2012 Chevy Cruze 215,000km. Also today while driving...I noticed a jerk of the whole car when slowing down.... Almost like the transmission just did a very hard shift down. I can't tell if it's the trans or not I don't know if anyone experienced this. Man am i sick of problems with this car....

Onthis site it was recommended I look for the classic check valve. Well good news the mechanic cleaned it up and it's still in there! But that's basically all he did...

He replaced my pcv valve and cover even though I replaced it 20k ago. Didn't listen to me when I said it and didn't explain how he figures it was the whole problem. I get home I go under my car guess what.... Oil leaking from my oil pan. .. he didn't even check under my car!

Now with this all said in looking for a new mechanic but im not sure what to ask to be checked. Because if the valve cover and oil pan blew at the same time doesn't that mean something else may be going on?

Thanks.

Why don't you start with year and model and current mileage. It matters.

Sorry 2012 1.4L 215,000km also added yet another problem
Sounds to me like you need a new mechanic. I've had cars with problem after problem all of a sudden get fixed as soon as I changed mechanics.

Oh trust me I know... This mechanic finally seemed like the real deal. knows his stuff and even offers free loaner cars which is a huge deal to me. But the coolant leak I've had and now the oilleak we're dealt with by ME explaining what the problem is. If I didn't exactly specify what I wanted done he wouldn't do it. I ended up being his first 1 star on Google. He didn't know the coolant in the car needed to cycle through the system and then refilled, and somehow he doesn't know to look under a car for oil leaks?

Also don't know if you know it's esspecially hard on family's in Canada. We get charged I'd say on average 2-3 TIMES cost in the states for parts. And we can't order from American sites for the most part because Chevy doesn't allow it. Let's put this example...the pcv and valve cover he replaced......cost me $215 in PARTS. You can order a new pcv valve and cover for $60 in the states.

Im sick and tired of the money being spent on the car. I understand every car has a break in period where it needs tuning and im in the middle of that. But the amount of "normal issues" this thing has...... Biggest mistake of my life. But whatever. Im trying best I can
