I purchased the OEM fogs from my local dealer for my 2017 Chevy Cruze, and after they were already mounted, I was told they cannot program the ECM since my car has a rebuilt title.

That's a different story (I know it doesn't make any sense, since I am not getting any sort of warranty claim done. I am beyond pissed.).

What I want to know is how I can make the fogs work with the factory switch without the dealer reprogamming the ECM/BCM. I was recommended to short the ECM to ground, so that there is a contact closure and the light should still work with the factory switch, just there wouldn't be any feedback on my in-dash that the fogs are on (not a big deal). Not sure how the circuit for this ECM works, so I can't say whether this would work or not.

Anyone have any comments regarding this, or maybe a better suggestions?

Thank you!
