Interesting, it still says premium fuel recommended rather than required. I wonder if they loosened up the PE settings.
This. I love how late they are... lolThey must have looked at a Trifecta budget tune, lol.
Vtuner and Trifecta could learn a thing or two from GM if they are getting 10HP/15TQ increase at the REAR wheels.Opps it does say Premium fuel required. A Sticker comes with the kit. GM must increase the timing some what and lean it out a little. At any rate you get a lot more power with a Vtune or Trifecta tune. Those tunes average 30HP/40TQ flywheel out put increases. And thats just the tune which has been proven safe. Some are adding twice that much power with no engine problems.I am glad i Vtuned mine now and didnt wait for a GM Stage package. But i am also sure the 10HP/15TQ increase is most likely at the rear wheels to.So the GM Stage kit would net more than that at flywheel.
See you say that but everyone tells that the budget tune and premium tune make the same power. They must have looked at a Trifecta budget tune, lol.
i already have the budget tuneI think it would be worth the 100 more yes.I do think the premium tune will give you more low end TQ.And if you can get 93 octane power is even a little better. These engines really pump the power up with a tune.
There isn't a Cruze kit from GM, and no the Sonic one will not fit, at least the exhaust won't.Is there at part number for the Cruze kit? I am holding the manual in my hand right now and there is nothing for the Cruze in it... will the Sonic kit work?
Yep, glad I didn't wait for the GM kit that you probably had to pay a preferred dealer to instal for warranty and support.Honestly to me the GM Sonic kit came up short. The power isnt that great for the money. For the cruze your better off with a Vtune or Trifecta tune.
The Cruze market is not as tuner happy as the Sonic. They already had an exhaust option on the chevy.com build your car section.i really wish they made as many cruze parts as the sonic has :frown:
