This might explain some of the odd responses dealerships have given people here. It sounds to me like GM's recall web-site doesn't query the same database as dealerships and GM Customer Service do.

Silly boy, using the same data base is waaaaay too logical, especially for GM.

The day after I had my recall service on the axle the site changed to no active recalls. Whether I can believe it or not, who knows, but I do know I see daily if there are ANY current campaigns for my CRUZE. Its like GM is watching me 24/7! I didn't know this was a newly created site?

Recall sites are a new NHTSA requirement that went into effect sometime earlier this year.

According to the first article, those sites had to be active by August 20th of this year.
