We have hail damage here in Midwest on occasion, I just have been lucky and missed some of the big storms here. I sometimes have seen an older Tahoe that pre hail storm might have been worth 10-12k and pretty good hail storm and they take an insurance check and still drive the car. Not attractive by any means but many times it doesn't have any impact on it being able to be reliable transportation.
