Then is it really the head gasket? With an overheated aluminum head engine, the head could have a crack in it. This happen more than once. The coefficient of thermal expansion is seven time greater of the aluminum head than that cast iron block it sits on. Something has to give. But they claim it saves a couple of pounds in weight.
