Hello all...

Came in here to find out any info on 2012 Cruze LS brake issues.

I've had the rotors turned once already, I don't recall the Odometer reading at the time.

I'm now over 75k and I'm getting vibrations once again when coming off the highways.

Maybe I'm coming off the highways to hot, 77, and trying to slow down too fast

So, was thinking maybe I need aftermarket performance rotors and pads??

Welcome to the forum!

I've noticed a strange vibration as well when braking from higher speeds, with both my Cobalt and my Cruze. I've only got 37K on my Cruze (18K miles were really rough delivery miles). I'd also like to know if there's anything that can be done about it.

Welcome to the forums. The shop that did your brakes didn't inspect the rear drums were out of spec? This is a common issue for like 2011 to almost 2015 models with drum brakes, they are soo far out of spec they make the front rotors toast in 30-40K miles. Turning rotors if not done right also cause more issues than just spending the same money on a quality set of rotors.

Rotors suggestions would be Centric premium blanks, Pads are up for debate, and a brake flush at this point. You can get fancy cross drilled rotors and track pads but you will just be paying for the looks of them over them outperforming the Centric Premium Blanks. Depending on the pads, they take time to heat up and start working vs a dedicated street pad.
