Hello im new to Cruzetalk......thank you for allowing me to join

1st question.......my new car cannot read my flash drive (USB).....any suggestions? thank you

Use a SanDisk Cruzer.

Welcome to CruzeTalk. As Sparkman said, we know from experience that the SanDisk Cruzer is the best usb drive for our cars. Other drives work but they don't appear to be as reliable.

There are different types of USB drivers. Some have a read-only partition for software you have to install to get access to the rest of the drive. It's typically for security or encryption. The Cruze is too simple to play those games. It needs a "straight" USB. The Sandisk Cruzer seems to work well. I tried a PNY, but about one time in 10 when starting the car, it would say it couldn't read it. I'd have to pull it out and re-insert it or shut down the car, open and close the door and restart the car.
