Sure sounds like the valve cover pressure relief valve. Search PCV Cruze here on the forum or on Youtube. Pull the ecotec cover off and check for air coming out of the valve cover diaphragm.

For the full story as to why the diaphragm fails you'll have to google orange check valve Cruze intake manifold.

Checking to see if the valve cover diaphragm has failed is easy. No tools required. If this is the case a new valve cover, and verification that the intake valve check valve is present is required. If the intake check valve is not present you need to replace the intake.

Good Luck-

While idling, as in the vid, remove the dipstick to see if the sound stops.

So far, I believe it needs the front crankshaft seal replaced.....a fairly straightforward job. If the sound goes away with dipstick removed, that is the cause.

This engine has rather high crankcase vacuum when buttoned up (sealed correctly) and the vacuum pulls the seal lips tightly against the crankshaft pulley hub. A bit of air gets pulled past the seal lips and a chirp results.

Keep in touch.
