Ive got a Chevy Cruze LT 2010. last saturday, i stopped the car breaking until a final stop and the place the gear shift on the Parking position, then i turned off the car but the key did not go out, it got stocked in so i tried a bit harder but it wont get out, after that i tried again turning the engine on and it went on but as i push the break to release the handle it just stay stocked at the parking position. Then a repeat the previous steps but it didnt function at all. i press the manual release button located a few centimeters fron the handle which is covered with a plastic top and press it to release the handle to enter drive mode and take the car to the service. BUT THEY DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG!! thsy say its an electric error or something from the main computer but im quite affraid that even the authorized dealer service dont know whats wrong! HELP ME PLEASE:angry:

Sounds like the ignition trapped the key, and then the car refused to enter D. Does your car have a security system in it? Sounds like it is problematic.

Are there any lights lit up on the dashboard, or messages on the instrument cluster's screen?

This happened to me in my old car, It happened because I blew a fuse.. I forget which fuse it was though unfortunately.. I pulled them out one by one until I found which one was gone.

So I did the same thing as you with the (lock disengage thing for the A/T) and drove to wallymart and bought a new fuse, problem solved.

I blew this fuse myself though when I was messing around with my stereo deck...
