2015 Cruze "diesel" very pleased with my new old car...just stated playing with milage and figuring out improvements using right foot and brain...I have a 108 mile round trip to play with everyday. Plenty of time to think about mpg...first time filling it up to the top... how much reserve does it have when the light comes on ?

Welcome and congratulations on a very low-mileage CTD, well done!

At 50-55 mpg, you can go about 80-100 miles after the low fuel warning. BUT conditions have to be perfect (55-60 mph, highway...no stops, little to no wind, relatively level terrain).

THIS is really worth a read for Gen 1 Diesel owners wanting to extend range per tank (the car is literally capable of doing a 1,000 mile tank, but it takes a great deal of effort and a little luck too. http://www.cruzetalk.com/forum/193-gen1-diesel-fuel-economy/167746-going-1-000-mile-tank-14.html
