Hi folks, First let me say, I'm new to forums so if I screw up I'm sorry.
And next, I am here to get informed and learn about my 2012 Chevy Cruze LS, I purchased from a dealer.
It looks so good everyone thought it was brand new. Has 53k miles. But, I noticed it has jumpy acceleration.
It has a very touchy gas pedal. And it shifts a lot. Is this normal for this car?
:uhh:

Welcome to the forums!

How long have you had it? I know it took some getting used to for me and it was a lot more touchy than the Grand Am I had.

The car has a six-speed transmission, so it does shift a lot more. What did you have before?

Have a Merry Christmas!
I have had a Buick Regal, Rendezvous, and still own a Toyota Solara 2002 with 164k miles. They all ran smoother than this car. Once it is on the Hwy, it is fine. But in normal city conditions it shifts up, down all over the place.
Merry Christmas and welcome to CruzeTalk.

Sounds like normal too me, when I first got mine it jerked and shifted around and I guess it eventually "learned" my driving habits because it doesn't do it as bad anymore.
Ha, and a politically correct happy holiday and seasons greetings to you. Oh, heck with this nonsense by idiots, Merry Christmas.

Sure sounds like a misfire with your problems, plugs, compression testing, water in the fuel, vacuum leaks. A guy with brains would find the problem in minutes. You don't mention if the check engine lamp is on.

If the engine is not running correctly, will drive the automatic transmission nuts. Was this new car dealer purchased, used car dealer purchased, or as is from a private party? Did somebody get under the hood and do unauthorized modifications?

Did you event test drive this vehicle before purchase or have someone with brains check it out for you?

Welcome! These cars with the 6 speed auto trans do take a bit of getting used to with the tranny feel. I know mine was weird when I first got it and seems better after getting it tuned but still does some weird things at times, especially in colder weather. it may also be worth checking the trans fluid level to make sure it's full.
Welcome :)

Welcome to the cruze talk Be cool stay cozy keep cruzen and Best Wishes !

Learn to use the Manual Mode for a while in stop and go traffic .. learning some new Techniques on your own will give you more confidence with your experiences . Also you will learn how to start out in second gear from stop lights and keep the RPMs down .. I could cruze at 30 MPH in ^ th gear all day long using the Manual mode and get the MPG up and keep ITup during the Local traffic patterns ..

You just need some experience with your cruzen and IT needs you to teach IT ...good Luck Sister ........................
