Hello everyone first post. I recently bought a 12 1.4t and it drove okay on the way home stayed around 230-240. I figured it may need a thermostat so I did a thermostat water pump water outlet and new hoses. After doing this and bleeding all of the air I could out. Test driving car runs fine but if I'm sitting still idling the car heats up reached 246 last time I drove it. My fan works on both settings. When I bought the car the heater core was bypassed. Hooked it back up when doing all this. Don't believe it's leaking im not losing coolant reservoir is still full. Need tips or ideas

If you're not losing coolant, then you have a stuck closed thermostat, a clog in the system somewhere (like the heater core), or there's still air trapped inside. You might want to just try backflushing the heater core.
